Cityscapes in Pastel:
The use of line, color and composition will be the focus of this class. Students will learn to layercolor while creating a dynamic cityscape. Layering and shading with controlled spraying of fixative will allow students to make subtle value transitions with little effort. Attention to shape and value and how to create form along with lost and found edges will also be discussed and put into practice. Information about pastels, surfaces, and new products will be shared. The class will work from the instuctors photographs.

Below the Surface
With Deborah Voyda Rogers and Michaelin Otis LWS, TNSW, NPWS
You will have two intructors to widen the horizons of this worshop! This will allow for lots of individual time and the opportunity to learn different views. Even if you have explored mixed media,this class will take you one step beyond. Watercolor can now be applied to numerous new surfaces, and combined with other mediums.You will be painting on five diferent surfaces for astounding results and effects. Some of these can be framed without glass! If you want three days of exploring, finding your own style, dynamic design and having tons of fun on the journey,this is the class for you. All of the surfaces will be supplied for you. All you have to bring is paint, some pastels if you have them, brushes and a smile.
